Kids Innovate Africa & Women in Tech Global Movement: South Africa making an impact in STEM

We had the honour of collaborating with a global organization whose mission is to promote inclusive, equitable and diverse access to STEM opportunities - values aligned to our purpose as a social impact organization.

The robotics competition included learners from around the Western Cape who participated in MyPlanet - OurHome Environmental Automation challenge (an initiative of Kids Innovate Africa). MyPlanet - OurHome is the first of its kind robotics competition in Africa with a sole objective of promoting environmental awareness (#SDG23) in the developing world, while igniting young people to explore environmental challenges in their own communities to develop tech-based solutions. We are excited about this competition which has been developed by a team of young women at Kids Innovate Africa!
