Learn to create animations using code or traditional 2D animation.

 

Explore key animation concepts, like vector drawings, symbols, keyframes, tweens, frames-per-second, and eases.

Through simple examples, master drawing, composing, and animating characters creatively.

Learn to design and develop assets and various elements, while spending time in the creative space producing your own digital games that can be shared and enjoyed with friends once developed.
   
Students learn how to build their own games using programming and animation.

ROBOTICS COMPETITIONS

Robotics competitions can significantly impact student engagement and learning, fostering a range of positive outcomes such as Increased self-confidence, teamwork and problem-solving skills, the development of self-determination, Creative thinking, Career preparations, and Networking.

Age Group: 8 - 19 year-olds Duration: February - December each year About: A global Themed Annual Robotics Competition that starts in Feb, with Regionals (Aug), Nationals (Nov/ Dec), and Internationals (Dec) rounds. Teams design, build, and program an autonomous vehicle that executes missions within specific rules. Best performing teams can become eligible for national and global competitions. Registration Fee: ~R300 p.p (to the national organiser) KIA Fee: Additonal R300 p.m for (dedicated device for 4 months)

Age Group: 6 - 16 year-olds Duration: February - December each year About: Another annual global robotics competition that starts in Aug with Regionals (Oct), Nationals (Nov/ Dec) and Internationals (Jan/ Feb). Teams design, build, and program an autonomous vehicle that executes missions within specific rules. Team also embark on an Innovation Project which involves Research and Presentations. Best performing teams can become eligible for national and global competitions. Registration Fee: ~R750 per team (to the national organiser) KIA Fee: R300 p.m for (dedicated device for 3 months)
